Jonathan, Michele, and Robert

We are so proud of all our children and grandchildren. They are our heritage from the Lord. One time somebody at work asked Grampie, "what are you investing in?" He didn't even have to think. His quick response was, "my kids". We prayed for them before they were born. We prayed for their spouses and children. We have no greater longing in our hearts for our family than this: When we gather in Heaven, it is our great desire that the "circle be unbroken". Dear loved ones, we would lay down our lives tomorrow for any of you that do not yet trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior. We love you more than our very lives!

Jonathan and Michele live with their son, Robert, in Hammond, Maine. It is a beautiful spot out in the country near Houlton. Michele works as a residential home manager for the disabled. Jonathan works at lead abatement and various construction projects. Robert, of course, is in school and he is a delightful boy.

They go to Grammie Ruth's Church -- that is where my Christian life began and I am thankful. Michele is a beautiful soloist there and now Robert sings with her at times. We have yet to hear them do a duet, but can hardly wait!

When you look at the pictures above, it might not be clear that Robert and his Dad are looking at a Cary Lake frog that Jonathan caught the day of our family reunion in July of 2010. The idea of catching frogs at the lake has been in our family since the 1960s when Mom bought that piece of property -- so the beat goes on! Nobody harms the frogs. They are caught, admired, and released. They are our neighbors at the lakeside.

The picture taken of Robert and Sam was at the lake on the day of the family reunion. I suppose they just got a bit weary of all the adult talk going on. Aren't they sweet? I couldn't resist taking that picture.

And here is a recent picture of Jon's and Michele's house showing the addition -- still in progress-- on the left. Next picture also shows the garage that Jonathan rebuilt. I love what they are doing to their home:
