Seeing Our Children's Children

Here is Rachel in the arms of her great grandmother Ruth. I know as she looks into that baby's face she is thinking about what a "little miracle" she is!

Grandparents always love to hold babies! Every one of them is precious. Every one of them is a miracle. A sleeping baby is so peaceful and content. We like the little sounds they make. We like their soft skin and their baby scent. We like the way they snuggle.

We think about their future and pray for the very best for them. We like to try and figure out who they will look like. We wonder if they will like art or music, or if they will enjoy sports or reading. We know that each one is unique.

We look into their faces and wonder how anyone could think they are a product of chance chemical and biological processes. We see them as made by God in His own image. We think of God's plan for them and we pray that they will grow to be great men and women of faith.

There really is NOTHING quite like being a grandparent and enjoying the miracle of seeing our children's children. It is amazing!
