Let Me Introduce Valerie's Family

This blog is primarily for grandchildren because it is our desire for them to be able to connect to their roots. But we welcome other family members and friends to peek in on us at any time. Our grandchildren all like stories about the "olden days" and we like to tell them. And that is pretty much what we have done on this blog so far. But today and for the next few days, we are taking a little detour. This and the next few entries will be contemporary, but someday they will represent NEW stories about DIFFERENT "olden days".

One time somebody asked Grampie if we have any great grandchildren yet. Want to know what he said? He is SUCH a quick wit! He said, "all our grandchildren are great." And YOU ARE.  From Heather all the way down to Matthew and beyond to any other grandchildren God chooses to give to us, we love you all -- more than you can ever imagine.

These posts of the family are going to be done from oldest to youngest of our six. I remember once when your parents were all younger and at home. Some of them wondered why we always started with the oldest and went downward. . . I think they were thinking people were being listed in the order of importance. Of course, that isn't true. Every one of them is a treasure!

Here pictured, as you can see are Val and Paul with their eleven. They live in Wisconsin and attend the River Hills Community Church in Janesville. As you can see, their home is nestled in a nice, private lot in their community. The older ladies of the family are involved in Bible studies, worship team, power point presentations, drama and other tasks and ministries. Some of the girls are doing music lessons, the guys like to tinker with their tools and play sports. They all have chores and every girl from about the age of 11 up can make splendid homemade bread. Some of the girls do volunteer work outside the home. Heather is studying to be a certified midwife. It is a good thing to see a large family serving one another and other people, too. God bless ALL of you!
